SLUTAVVERKNING
SWEDISH ANTICAPITALIST JAZZ-PUNK FURY!
Slutavverkning first put its nose to the grindstone in 2018 to explore the sweet spot between proletarian noise-rock and unhinged acid-jazz.
On a trio of acclaimed EPs collectively titled “Music of Labour and Sorrow I-III”, core-members Pelle Andersson (guitar), Jon Ekström (vocals) and Marcus Källström (drums) were accompanied by renowned saxophone virtuoso Per Texas Johansson (Fire! Orchestra, Stockholm Jazz Orchestra).
Shortly after, Per Wiberg joined on bass (ex-Opeth, Candlemass, Spiritual Beggars…), while Johansson’s Fire! Orchestra bandmate Isak Hedtjärn took over saxophone and clarinet duties. The already unique sound expanded into truly outlandish territories with this, as it can be heard on their debut full-length “Levande Charader”.
“A unique sound and vision…
Recommended for noise rockers and freaky jazz nerds alike!”
“It has everything from genuinely jazzy interludes to abrasive, skronky punk rock. It gets weird, and I want more!”

LEVANDE CHARADER
- DEBUT ALBUM -
“Drawing from the raw, unrestrained energy of The Birthday Party, the poignant edginess of early Modest Mouse, the fiery ethos of Fugazi, and the unapologetic spirit of Fear, Slutavverkning collectively forges a cacophonous alchemy.”
